Q: Do I need a particular type of TV? 

A: No. ROXi works with any flat screen television with HDMI, which is more or less any flat screen TV ever manufactured anywhere in the world. 

Q: Do I need a Smart TV? 

A: No. You don’t need a Smart TV and you don’t need a particular brand of TV. Any flat screen TV with HDMI will work with ROXi. 

Q: So how do I set-up my ROXi for the first time? 

A: Set-up takes just two minutes. First, plug the ROXi set-top box into your TV using the HDMI cable, which comes in the box to make things simple. Next, connect the ROXi set-top box to electricity using the power lead, which is also supplied in the box. Then pick up the Wii-style ROXi controller, which is already pre-charged for convenience, and use it to connect your ROXi to your Wi-Fi network using your normal Wi-Fi password. You’re good to go. ROXi set-up really is that simple. 

Q: Can I connect to wired internet too? 

A: Yes. You can use wired internet as well as Wi-Fi. 

Q: Can I play music out of the TV speakers? Or external speakers? Or both? 

A: ROXi uses the best speakers you have available. You can play music out of your TV speakers – or any external speakers with Line Out, or a TV soundbar, or a receiver, or even your Bluetooth speakers or other home speakers. 

Q: What quality is the music streamed at? 

A: High quality all round. The default codec streamed to the ROXi is 320kbps AAC. A small (and diminishing) percentage of the catalogue does not have 320kbps and for this we fall back to 160kbps AAC. Suffice to say, it sounds really good! 

Q: How do I plug ROXi into my external speakers? 

A: Yes, music is all about sharing after all, so the louder the better! ROXi can connect to any external speakers via a 3.5mm audio jack or also via Bluetooth connectivity. Hook them up and turn up the volume!! 

Q: How do I connect to Bluetooth speakers? 

A: Yes, simply turn on your speaker to find available Bluetooth devices, search for the available speaker within the ROXi settings and connect and enjoy! 

Q: How do I charge the ROXi controller? 

A: The ROXi controller is already pre-charged just like a new mobile phone so it works right out of the box. However, you will eventually need to recharge it so we include a micro USB cable to allow for easy recharge whenever you need to do that. A full charge from empty takes around two hours. 


Q: Can I buy ROXi for a fixed price? Or should I buy it in instalments?

A: You can buy ROXi for a fixed price, or alternatively you can pay in instalments or so called "Easy Payments". Both come with a full 1 Year Premium Music Pass at no extra fee.
